Christopher (Chris) Kneen
Lead Pastor
Rev. Chris Kneen began his journey in ministry right here at White Bear Lake United Methodist Church, where he grew up and first sensed a call to pastoral leadership. A fifth-generation United Methodist pastor, he brings decades of experience serving churches in Minnesota, Illinois, and even as a chaplain in Djibouti, Africa.
Chris holds a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary, an M.Div. from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Dakota. He’s a trained Stephen Ministry Leader, Prepare/Enrich counselor, and Bible study facilitator.
Passionate about connecting people to God, one another, and the community, Chris brings a collaborative leadership style rooted in Wesleyan theology and spiritual disciplines.
He is the proud father of four adult daughters and grandfather of four.
