WELCOME HOME!

When you’re ready to attend a worship service with others in the sanctuary at White Bear Lake United Methodist Church, we are ready and excited to welcome you back. In-person, indoor worship will be offered the first and third Sunday of each month.

We'll require reservations for two important reasons:

  1. We'll have an initial limit of 40 people to follow social distancing guidelines in the Sanctuary with a plan for safe seating.
  2. Name and contact information is require so we can make immediate contact in the event of an exposure to the virus.

Make online reservations by clicking HERE:

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ATTENDING INDOOR WORSHIP

  1. People who feel sick or have had any exposure to anyone who is sick should not attend. We recommend that you take your temperature before coming to church for added safety.
  2. Bring and wear your mask during the entire service. Enter the building with your mask already properly in place. If you forget, we’ll have masks available.
  3. Check in with an usher as you arrive so we know you are present.
  4. An usher will assist you in finding appropriate seating for the size of your group.
  5. Ushers will assist in dismissal following worship to help prevent areas of congestion while people depart.
  6. Children will remain with family throughout worship. Please keep children in your pew.
  7. Please avoid physical contact with others! Air hugs are encouraged but please refrain from real hugs or handshakes and do your best to remain a minimum of 6 feet from other people.
  8. Gathering time before and after worship are suspended for the foreseeable future.
  9. Please be aware of your own risk factors when determining whether to attend worship. The Minnesota Annual Conference of the UMC gives this guidance: “High-risk individuals are highly encouraged to stay home and should be given options to participate in the life of the church through virtual means.” At WBLUMC we will continue to offer online worship at 10am as we have been doing for the past several months.

This entire process for returning to worship with one another is a grand experiment at this time. We no doubt will learn that there will need to be changes or adaptations in the way we do things as we all move forward. Please be patient. Please be flexible. Please be sure to contact Pastor Bill or Lori McBride if you have a problem, a question, a suggestion … or just to say hello. We’ll do our best to accommodate the needs of our congregation. We’re all anxiously awaiting the time when we can return to worship with no restrictions and celebrate with God and one another.
