Bread X: WBLHS HBCU Program
Join us for an inspiring evening with Aaron Turner, Educational Equity Specialist for White Bear Lake Area Schools and advisor to the district’s Black Student Union. In his role, Aaron is dedicated to creating environments where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to lead.
One powerful example of this work is the annual HBCU Tour he organizes, offering students the chance to visit Historically Black Colleges and Universities. These trips not only introduce students to college life but also strengthen cultural pride and help them envision bright futures for themselves.
Thanks to the support of our community—and events like this summer’s FIA fundraiser, where concessions were turned into contributions—students receive meaningful financial assistance to make this transformative experience possible.
