NURSERY
Nursery is available during Sunday worship hours. Nursery doors open ten minutes before the service.
SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL
June & July Summer Sunday School for ages 4 years through 5th grade will be held during the 10am worship service.
FALL SUNDAY SCHOOL
We offer Sunday School during the 9:00am service for kids ages 3 years by September 1 through 12th grade. All students start out with their families in worship and are dismissed to go to Sunday School after the Children's Message, about 10 minutes into the service.
Younger students, preschool through 1st grade, meet upstairs. Each Sunday, we move through warm-up activities, bible storybooks, activity time, and finish with free-choice options. We provide routine with a variety of activities to keep kids interested.
Our 2nd - 5th grade students start out in the kids' theater downstairs. Our gathering time includes wonder questions, bible stories, and an ASL memory verse. Kids finish the hour in their classroom for discussion and hands-on activities. Activities for this age group include: mixed-media art projects, cooperative games, construction projects, and science experiments. Our group goals include: community building within the group, a culture of safe sharing, creativity, and fun.
Our middle school and high school group meets at the same time, downstairs in room 102 . Our lead teacher, Karen, leads this group with topics that explore both faith formation and journey-to-adulthood topics. Students are free to be themselves, have a snack, join in group discussion and games, and help decide where the hour goes.
MUSIC OPPORTUNITY
Preschool - 2nd grade
Kids meet on Sunday, between services, from 10 to 10:20am in room 205. Annie, our director, keeps the time active with song, movement, and smiles.
CAMPING MINISTRY
In the summer, we partner with Good Earth Village in Spring Valley (Southeastern MN, near Lanesboro) to provide a student sleep away experience. G.E.V. has a dedicated and trained staff that leads kids in games, nature exploration, outdoor worship, delicious meals, and swimming excursions. There are close over 500 acres to explore! The students from our church are placed together in cabins so there's always a friend nearby. Traditionally, we go to camp during the last week in June. There are a variety of options including 1 night, 2 night, and 5 night stays, depending on age.
Our Next Generation Minister joins the kids at camp and checks in with kids during the week.
