For almost a decade, the "Music On the Lawn" outdoor concert series has been an important part of the WBLUMC summer community outreach program. It serves as a warm invitation to the WBL Community to learn more about WBLUMC, and for us to celebrate God’s creations — music and the great outdoors.
2 Girls and Boyd is an acoustic music group featuring vocalists Mary Jane Alm and Aimée Lee and acoustic guitarist and vocalist Boyd Lee. They are joined by mandolinist and vocalist Richard Kriehn and harmonica player, percussionist, and vocalist Noah Hoehn for live events. This ensemble entertains audiences with a blend of folk, pop, and vocal harmonies at local music venues. Vocalist Mary Jane Alm was inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in 2013. Don't miss this rare chance to experience Alm's captivating performance at Music on the Lawn—an unforgettable evening with one of the region's most acclaimed artists, offered free to the community.
Fans know Aimee Lee for her production and lead vocals in Rainy Days and Mondays: The Music of The Carpenters, a show that instantly sells out at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. Boyd Lee is known for his rich vocal harmonies, folk, acoustic, and tribute shows. Lee frequently performs alongside his wife, Aimee.
Guest star Richard Kriehn will be playing the Mandolin. A transplant from Texas, Richard now performs with “The Guy’s All-Star Shoe Band,” made up mostly of the Prairie Home Companion musicians. He frequently performs at Crooner’s Supper Club with Mary Jane Alm and Aimee and Boyd Lee. Multi-instrumentalist and fierce performer, Noah Hoehn, will round out the performance guest list.
Also joining the group for a song or two is our own Steven C on keyboards! He recently hosted and performed “America the Beautiful” at the Cathedral of Saint Paul on July Fourth to a full house. He brings his stunningly expressive piano performance to this rock star lineup.
